status updates and other random thoughts

A good friend suggested I start a blog.  Apparently my keen observation skills and writing talents are being wasted on my Facebook status updates.  And because I have so much free time I decided "why not?"  Since it was status updates that inspired this new method of procrastination, below are a selection from the past year:

Karma Repair Kit: Items 1-4

2. Find a place to sleep where it is quiet, and sleep there.
3. Reduce intellectual and emotional noise until you arrive at the silence of yourself, and listen to it.
4.
